QUILTED COAT FITTING

April 8, 2011 Comments Off on QUILTED COAT FITTING

On Wednesday I visited one of my clients at his apartment to do a fitting on his quilted coat and matching vest.

You can see my original post on this coat here:

I only had my iphone with me so the shots were not so great but you can probably get an idea on where this is going and you can take a look at the vest which has not been posted before.

The vest is made from Holland and Sherry Moleskin which was quilted at Supreme Quilting, It will be able to be attached/fastened to the overcoat interior. The overcoats top collar is made from the same moleskin although not quilted. Using Luxury moleskins for top collars is a good alternative to velvet as its more robust.

The vest will now be finished with hand stitched buttonholes and a leather trim. I will be posting pictures of the finished coat/vest in detail soon.
